It is owned by Arçelik A.Ş., the white goods (major appliance) manufacturer of Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding, Grundig GmbH was founded in 1945 by Max Grundig

JVC (short for Japan Victor Company) is a Japanese brand owned by JVCKenwood. Founded in 1927 as the Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan and later as Victor Company of Japan, Ltd. (日本ビクター株式会社, Nihon Bikutā kabushiki gaisha).

The company was best known for introducing Japan's first televisions and for developing the Video Home System (VHS) video recorder.

JVC Kenwood Corporation (Japanese: 株式会社JVCケンウッド) is a multinational electronics company headquartered in Yokohama, Japan. Its subsidiaries are also involved in fields such as the entertainment industry.

In October 2008, JVC and Kenwood merged their operations and jointly transferred shares to form a holding company named "JVC Kenwood Holdings, Inc." As a result, both JVC and Kenwood became subsidiaries. At the same time, Panasonic, the major shareholder of JVC, also transferred its shares.
